Every siding warranty distinguishes between manufacturing defects (what the warranty covers) and normal wear, neglect, or misuse (what it doesn’t). Elite Cladding’s Limited Lifetime Warranty protects against issues like premature rot, delamination, termite damage, and excessive color change but it explicitly excludes damage tied to neglect or improper upkeep. In other words: the warranty protects you from the product failing. It doesn’t protect the product from being ignored.
The good news is that Elite Cladding® is engineered to require minimal upkeep. “Minimal,” though, isn’t “none.”

Routine cleaning is the simplest thing you can do to keep your siding and your warranty in good standing.
Use a long-handled car washing brush that attaches to a garden hose (the same kind sold at auto supply stores). Think of it as washing your siding the same way you’d wash a car.

There’s no need for pressure washers, harsh chemicals, or abrasive scrubbing. A gentle, regular wash is enough to keep the surface performing the way it’s designed to.
It’s worth knowing what falls outside “normal maintenance,” because these are the situations most likely to complicate a warranty claim down the line:

Many common underlayments are combustible, organic materials, and their fire properties should be verified before installation. One of the most common points of confusion in any siding warranty is the difference between a defect and normal weathering. Sunlight, weather, and atmospheric exposure will naturally cause any colored exterior surface to soften in tone or accumulate light surface soiling over time. It’s also normal to see a slight shade difference between sun-exposed areas and areas that are shaded or protected, such as a soffit overhang or an area behind a shutter. This is expected, not a manufacturing flaw, and it isn’t covered under color protection.
